“You Can’t Make a Living as an Artist”

In 2013 Warren put down the art brush and for 22 months wrote 67,000 words and called it a book. Friends said he was a writer, then he hired a professional writer who told him he had three books started and needed a serious rewrite. Now involved in his art full time and a part time writer. When asked how long? His reply is, “As long as it takes, plus I am enjoying every minute of becoming a better wordsmith.”

The material I am creating is a memoir , “You Can’t Make a Living as an Artist.” My story is from the time my father broke my plate at his table and I was on my own at eighteen, to the opening of my studio/ gallery in 1976. Today I celebrate 40 years as a professional artist.
